Good Shepherd Food Bank is hosting Gather 2023: A Food Equity & Justice Summit. It is an opportunity for food bank staff, community, and partners to learn, highlight, uplift, and celebrate the work of Community Redistribution Fund awardees. These organizations are led by and primarily working with Black, Brown, Indigenous, Immigrant, Refugees, and Asylum-Seeking communities. Collectively they are breaking down barriers to culturally relevant and traditional foods and changing the landscape of the Campaign to End Hunger in Maine.
How you can help: We are looking for a few volunteers to assist with welcoming guests and giving parking directions. Please come in weather-appropriate clothing. You will be provided with a safety vest.
Skills needed: Volunteers may be asked to stand for extended periods of time, expected to be friendly and welcoming and flexible to rotating roles with other volunteers.
Please meet for directions at the start of your shift at: The Commons at Pineland Farms, 15 Farm View Drive, New Gloucester, ME 04260
